The Role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Civil Engineer to join our growing team in Durban. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse infrastructure projects, learn from experienced senior engineers, and contribute to meaningful development across South Africa. The role involves potential site travel to various project locations, offering valuable hands-on experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities

Assist senior engineers with design, calculations, and technical drawings for various civil engineering projects
Participate in site inspections and surveys, documenting findings and reporting observations
Help prepare project documentation, technical reports, and specifications
Utilize engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) for design tasks and drafting
Ensure all work complies with industry standards, codes of practice, and safety regulations
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions
Support project management activities including scheduling and progress monitoring

Minimum Requirements

BSc / BEng in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution
0-2 years of relevant experience (recent graduates are welcome to apply)
Eagerness to learn and develop professional engineering skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in MS Office Suite; familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) is a strong advantage
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Valid driver's license (Code B)
Willingness to travel to project sites when required
